Euros 2016: Congrats Nastia! but i'm tired

The competition is officially over and I'm actually happy, because I'm just so tired. Spending day after day being overly emotionally invested to a bunch of headcases and My Tsaritsa Aliya just takes its toll. So I apologize if I'm not doing too good of a job with the recap of the junior event finals.

VAULT: Elena Eremina's DTY just isn't ready yet, no shame in that. Martina Maggio had some airy vaults, I was pretty impressed by her. Olivia Cimpian started the scary Romanian falls today by hurting her ankles/ankle on a low landing. Ouch. Denisa Golgota did better and shared the silver with Martina Basile. This has been a really good competition for Martina.

UNEVEN BARS: Anastasia Ilyankova had pulled herself together after the unfortunate all around and hit her routine without any major issues taking the gold like she was expected to. She was helped by the green/white leo that has accompanied many Russian juniors to victory. Ulyana Perebinosova has managed to clean up her bars routine quite a bit, but she still needs to improve her handstands. Her big difficulty (6.2, the same as Nastia's) compared to the other contestants got her the silver medal. Lorette Charpy was just a tiny bit behind with her easier, but much cleaner routine.

BALANCE BEAM: Lena wobbled a bit on her turns, but performed her 3/3 beam routine without a fall in the competition. Are we sure she's a Russian junior? It got her the bronze medal. Alice Kinsella hit her routine for the silver, and Romania continued their drama from the vault final with Ioana Crisan slipping and hitting her both her back and head on the beam during her first series. She sat stunned on the ground for a few seconds and her coach came to see if she was okay. She stood up but decided to not to continue her routine. Hopefully it was just a scare. Nastia was the surprise winner of the night with a great routine, she downgraded her side aerial-LOSO series to side aerial-BHS stepout and it worked. I would have never guessed that she'd take the beam title. And I've never been a fan of her on beam, but she's really trying to change my mind, when she hits, she's pretty nice to watch. And she actually won 3 gold medals at these championships, congrats girl!

FLOOR EXERCISE: Lena landed short on her triple and then sat down her 2.5, finishing last. Oh well, winning floor would have just made the seniors look bad. While Lena lacked energy, Ulya had too much of it and landed her tumbles with huge bounces back. She looked sour. She's actually looked sour since her bad qualification. Or maybe she just has a resting bitchface. You can't be on the Russian team without a good bitchface, so she's on the right track, I'm proud. Alisson Lapp cheered me up and had the entire arena on their knees after her charming and energetic performance, and Denisa broke the Romanian bad luck for the day and took the gold, in addition to her silver on vault. Alice Kinsella won silver, but I don't even remember anything about her routine. I guess it was fine.

Just look at how happy Ulya is :D I love her. She reminds me of young Aliya.
